The Virginia Rowing Club has been in existence since 1989.

Our Location
|
The Virginia Rowing Club is located on the Hampton River in downtown Hampton. The shell storage area is underneath the Booker T. Washinton Bridge adjacent to the sidewalk walkthrough.
Driving Directions from
Highway 64 East: take the Settler's Landing exit, turn right at the light at the end of the off-ramp. Go over the bridge and turn left at the light at the base of the bridge
Free parking is available in the Radisson Parking Garage. When you walk out of the parking garage, face the river and walk to your left to go under the bridge where the shells are stored. At this point, you will also see the Virginia Rowing Club dock.

About VRC
The Virginia Rowing Club has been in existence since 1989. Our boathouse is located under the bridge over Hampton River by the Radisson Hotel in Hampton. We have an excellent floating dock seen in the picture at left.
Currently, we have an assortment of shells including two Vespoli 4's and an eight.
Rowing Sessions
We practice every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. during Daylight Savings Time. Membership Responsibilities(abridged version)
In order to provide a safe and enjoyable rowing experience for all members, the boathouse rules are to be followed. Copies are on the website and in the boathouse.
All members are expected to inspect equipment prior to rowing, report concerns with the equipment or boathouse to the Boathouse Captain, row in a safe and responsible manner, and pay dues.
Guests may be sponsored by a general member, so long as the member presents a signed waiver from the guest. Supervised guests may only visit 5 times before having to decide whether or not to join.
Dues
The club has the following membership categories:
· General membership open to individuals aged 27 and older ($150.00),
· Family membership ($225.00)
No membership is activated or renewed without a signed waiver available from the webpage or in the VRC boathouse.
For individuals who wish to actively compete, there is a racing membership available for $250.00. Racers are still responsible for additional costs associated with racing such as travel, food, and lodging.
